Using our live sawn and air dried French oak planks, Vintage Elements goes the next step and transforms these floor planks from France into custom flooring products by either fuming, smoking or mechanically distressing them or a combination of all these methods. The result is a beautiful rustic aged French oak floor that instantly creates a rustic, yet comfortable atmosphere. Hues of weathered grey dominate these planks but warmer tones can also be achieved. These French oak floors will not wear and exhibit lighter wood underneath. The grain is fumed completely dark through and through, a process that is time consuming and not without it’s dangers. But the results are well worth it.
